Regular trims help your hair grow: myth or fact?
FACT
At Envy Hair Lab we’re here to guide you through all of your hair health needs with honest answers! Let’s talk about typical hair growth and why some of us feel robbed of any real signs of it.
“I clearly have roots showing growth but its not getting any longer!”
A very common concern or problem in our industry and heres why.
Average hair growth is going to land around .5 inches per month. A broader spectrum is really anywhere from 1/4 inch to a FULL inch.
This means in order to maintain health of the hairs ends but also acquire growth we recommend a “micro trim” or less than .5 inch every 8-12 weeks.
What happens if i don’t? Figured you’d ask that… the answer: Breakage my friend. Those ends will start to spilt depending on wear and tear around that 2-4 month mark, once that happens they are basically toast! Have you ever seen a split end.. look closely… it’s not going to stop itself! The brittle condition will only travel up that hair shaft until you get that little snip snip!
You owe it to yourself, a little self care maintenance always feels great!
